DEVELOPMENT OF CAMPAIGN VIS-A-VIS INTERNATIONAL DECLARATIONS
Towards embedding a “Culture of Peace” into the basic education curriculum
The questions were reformulated pursuant to the declaration of VP and DepEd Secretary Sara Z. Duterte declaration, “We will embed the Culture of Peace in our curriculum to develop learners who are peace builders in communities. We will integrate peace competencies such as social awareness, responsibility, care for the environment, value for diversity, self-esteem , positive character, resilience and human security into the various learning areas of the K-12 curriculum,” in the Basic Education Report 2023

1. Translated into Filipino, the questions read:
1. Dapat ba nating itanim at arugain ang Kultura ng Kapayapaan sa ating mga paaralan, tahanan, komunidad, at pamahalaan? |
2. Dapat ba nating itatag ang isang lipunan na walang karahasan – pisikal, seksuwal, sikolohikal, ekonomikal at sosyal? |
3. Dapat ba nating tutulan, hadlangan at labanan ang pagsusulong at paggamit ng armas, karahasan o terorismo anuman and dahilan? |
4. Dapat ba nating magkaisa at mag-Bayanihan sa pagtukoy, pagplano, pagpondo at pagsasagawa ng mga programa sa bawa’t komunidad? |

The foregoing questions have been suggested to be fielded in a DepEd Memorandum to be issued by VP and DepEd Secretary Sara Z. Duterte pursuant to her reiteration of her full support to the Yes for Peace – Bayanihan ng Bayan campaign.
