YES FOR PEACE Bayanihan ng Bayan
Campaign Symbol

The YES FOR PEACE – Bayanihan ng Bayan Campaign symbol is a KEY

The campaign may be the KEY to PEACE and UNITY to end the armed conflicts through the people’s individual and collective assertion of the Human Right to Peace.

Inside the KEY head is a stylized Human Figure with outstretched arms symbolizing one’s offering of self for the realization of the Filipino people’s dream of Peace, Progress and Prosperity.

The three (3) teeth of the KEY symbolizes Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, the three (3) island groupings of the Philippines.  Inside each torch is the torch of education to highlight the thrust to embed the “Culture of Peace” into the basic education curriculum.

The center is a solid WHITE circle.  It represents the purity and continuity of its purpose to pursue a just, unifying, sustainable and lasting peace.  From it emanates the three (3) core Guiding Principles (Pillars) and three (3) Fundamental Goals (Grains) of Yes for Peace:

Guiding Principles:

  • RED – Responsible Leadership
  •  YELLOW – Sincere Friendship
  •  BLUE – Selfless Service

Fundamental Goals:

  • GREEN – Developmental and Environmental Sustainability
  •  VIOLET – Religious and Cultural Inclusiveness
  •  ORANGE – Pro-People and Transparent Govergence

The WHITE Arcs underscore that each sector of society is unique and independent of the others while the outer WHITE Ring represents UNITY IN DIVERSITY.
