The YES FOR PEACE – Bayanihan ng Bayan campaign shall serve as the common undertaking for the Filipino People to proactively get involved and collectively participate in:
- Asserting their individual and collective Human Right to Peace;
- Ending the internal armed conflicts by addressing its root causes;
- Identifying, planning, budgeting and implementing existing community-based government programs and projects needed in their respective Barangays/communities;
- Facilitating Govergence or convergent governance in the delivery of government services; and
- Enjoying the fruits of people’s participation in the Whole of Nation approach towards Good Governance.
Further, the YES FOR PEACE – Bayanihan ng Bayan campaign shall have the following benefits:
- To the Department of Education – the conduct of the open referendum through elementary and secondary schools shall serve as the initial step towards embedding a “Culture of Peace” in the Basic Curriculum.
- To the Philippine Postal Corporation – the campaign shall determine the quality-of-service delivery nationwide and provide benchmarks to improve these to be more competitive in the growing courier services industry.
- To the National Government – the campaign shall serve as the platform through which all government agencies can effectively and efficiently deliver their respective community-based programs and projects that will address the needs directly determined by the people themselves in their respective communities.
- To the Private Sector / Investors – the attainment of Peace and the eradication of threats of its resurgence throughout the Philippines will generate a stable and predictable investment climate.
Who and What Do We Need?
