YES FOR PEACE – BAYANIHAN NG BAYAN is an initiative to Arouse, Organize and Mobilize people’s participation in the whole-of-nation approach towards a more progressive, productive and inclusive society for all.
WHAT IS YES FOR PEACE?
YES FOR PEACE – BAYANIHAN NG BAYAN is an initiative to Arouse, Organize and Mobilize people’s participation in the whole-of-nation approach towards a more progressive, productive and inclusive society for all through the following:
- Verifiable documentation of a national consensus to:
- Uphold the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, the Rights of Children; Human Rights and the Right to Peace;
- Stand against the use of arms and terrorism; and
- Pro-actively get involved and collectively participate in identifying, planning, budgeting and implementing community-based peace and development programs and projects.
- People-centric declaration of Barangays, Cities/ Municipalities; Provinces; and Regions as YES FOR PEACE AND UNITY Zones;
- Pro-active involvement and collective participation of the Filipino people in the Whole-of-Nation approach to institutionalize Good Governance to establish an era of a just, unifying, sustainable and lasting Peace, Progress and Prosperity; and
- Mass-based initiatives towards Charter Change and promulgation/enactment of people-centric laws.
YES FOR PEACE Bayanihan ng Bayan
Campaign Symbol
The YES FOR PEACE – Bayanihan ng Bayan Campaign symbol is a KEY.
The campaign may be the KEY to PEACE and UNITY to end the armed conflicts through the people’s individual and collective assertion of the Human Right to Peace.
Inside the KEY head is a stylized Human Figure with outstretched arms symbolizing one’s offering of self for the realization of the Filipino people’s dream of Peace, Progress and Prosperity.
The three (3) teeth of the KEY symbolizes Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, the three (3) island groupings of the Philippines. Inside each torch is the torch of education to highlight the thrust to embed the “Culture of Peace” into the basic education curriculum.
The center is a solid WHITE circle. It represents the purity and continuity of its purpose to pursue a just, unifying, sustainable and lasting peace. From it emanates the three (3) core Guiding Principles (Pillars) and three (3) Fundamental Goals (Grains) of Yes for Peace:

- VIOLET – Religious and Cultural Inclusiveness

The WHITE Arcs underscore that each sector of society is unique and independent of the others while the outer WHITE Ring represents UNITY IN DIVERSITY.
