YES FOR PEACE – Bayanihan ng Bayan was developed to Arouse, Organize and Mobilize the Filipino people through a national open referendum and awareness sharing dialogues on existing government programs to mobilize all sectors to counter violent extremism as well as assert the right to peace. It is essentially a paper and ink initiative to establish a national consensus to democratically institutionalize good governance and thereby end armed conflicts.

A Memorandum of Undertaking for the national implementation of the campaign was entered into by: Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP); Department of Education (DepED); Philippine Postal Corporation (Philpost); OPS-Philippine Information Agency (PIA); OPS-National Printing Office (NPO); Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP); Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP); Alpha Phi Omega (APO); and Organizer, Yes for Peace

Tarpaulins to inform PNoy of the status of the campaign were paraded in front of both the civilian and military sides of the “Salubungan”. Advocates joined former Pres FVR in “victory jump” onstage.
